We changed the default view from “New” to “All Active” conversations. With this change, you can keep better tabs on all conversations needing a response. This change not only helps you respond more quickly but also helps you keep conversations going. Conversations on Vivian with multiple exchanges have a 4x higher placement rate than those without.
Access tools to do your job more easily
We moved things around so they’re easier to use when you’re having a conversation with a candidate:
Resources: Job, Profile and Tools are now clearly labeled as tabs next to the conversation window
Quick Actions: Schedule interview, Transfer, Set a reminder, Change application stage and End conversation are now in a dropdown menu inside the chat
"Response Needed" Notification Now Updates Faster
We understand that the lingering "Response Needed" notification has been a source of frustration. Starting today, your Inbox will update in real-time when you respond to candidates. Specifically, the "Response Needed" notification will promptly disappear as soon as you send a response. No more waiting for up to an hour for it to clear.
“Response Rate” Calculated in Real Time
In addition to the immediate notification resolution, your response rate metric in your dashboard will also update in real-time so you can stay on top of your performance and prioritize who to respond to first. Additionally, suspensions and reinstatement will happen in real-time – no more delays in recognizing an improved response rate!
All these changes have led to big results. Recruiters who have used our new Inbox have been able to respond to candidates up to 90 minutes faster than before. For hot jobs, that can make a huge difference in getting a candidate submitted and placed.

- Inbound application - You have a new application you received by lead routing
- Application to proposal - A candidate applied to a job you proposed
- Confirm placement - You have been requested to confirm a candidate’s placement
- New document - A candidate uploaded a new document
- New transfer - You received a new transfer and you haven’t messaged them yet
