Top-performing recruiters on Vivian report that personalized, concise, and information-rich messages are those most likely to elicit a response from a candidate. Job posts are often short on details, so talking to the candidate about the things they care about—things not listed in the post—can really move the needle.
Some example responses to inbound leads:
- Hi {name}! Your experience seems like a great fit for the RN ICU day shift role at The Medical Center of Colorado. Do you have any questions about the role and when are you looking to start?
- Hi {name}! This particular hospital needs a minimum of 2 years experience, but I have another hospital with a comparable salary and only 1 year required. Would you like to hear more?
Pro tip: Use the Propose a new job button in the Job tab to propose an alternative job to a candidate if the one they’ve applied to has already closed or isn’t a good fit. You can propose up to 3 jobs (one at a time) within 7 days after a candidate applies. Remember, the majority of candidates get placed in jobs to which they didn’t originally apply!
