FAQs
How do I customize qualification requirements?
Qualification requirements can be set by Admin for the entire agency. To do so:
1. Head to Admin > Jobs. Click on Edit requirements within the Qualification requirements box at the top of your screen.
Next, click on Create a new requirement. This will bring you to the following screen:
2. Start by giving your requirement a name and selecting whether the requirement should be gating or non-gating.
- Gating requirements are included in the QIA screening flow and block applicants who lack the desired qualification from applying.
- Non-gating requirements don't block applicants from proceeding but do indicate if they lack the desired qualifications.
3. Requirements can be set at the discipline level (e.g., for all RNs) or at the specialty level (e.g., for all Med Surg RNs). To do so, use the first dropdown menu under Conditions and criteria. Then use the third dropdown menu to choose the relevant field.
Tick This is a requirement for all jobs should you want the requirement to apply to all applicants—regardless of discipline or specialty.
4. Finally, add your desired qualification criteria. If the gating option is set to Yes, any of the following three criteria (when added) will be used to pre-screen applicants and block those who lack the desired qualification:
- Years of experience
- Certifications
- Licenses
Other criteria do not block applicants from proceeding but indicate if they lack the desired qualifications. They include:
- Level of education
- References
- Skills checklist
- Resume
- Profile details
Apply as few or as many as you’d like to the selected level. When you’re done, click Save requirement.
How do I know if an applicant meets the qualification requirements my agency has set?
The very nature of QIA means that candidates who arrive in your inbox meet any gated requirements you’ve set. View their pre-screening details under the Qualifications tab (to the right of your conversation with the candidate).
To view how they align with any additional non-gating requirements you’ve set, refer to the Job tab.
Will the system block candidates who don’t meet the non-gated requirements from applying for a job?
No, candidates can still submit their application, even if they don’t meet the non-gated qualification requirements. However, they will see a screen like the one below, which explicitly highlights any missing qualifications.
How does the system determine whether a candidate meets the selected requirements?
The determination is based on the information the candidate has in their profile.
My facility already has customized requirements that we set up through our Customer Success Manager. What will happen to these?
Any existing customized requirements will automatically show up on the Qualifications requirements page (Admin > Jobs > Edit requirements). These will be listed as “No nickname”. To rename them (or make other changes), click the Edit button.
