Reducing multiple applications to the same job
We've heard from recruiters that seeing multiple applications from the same candidate for the same job can be confusing. It disrupts conversations with automated application messages, making it harder to understand what the candidate is looking for and to build a relationship.
To address this, we've recently shipped a solution that alerts candidates when they’ve already applied. Instead of seeing an "I'm interested" or "Apply" button when they come across the job again, they’ll now see "Already Applied." This helps reduce duplicative applications.
Making it easier for a candidate to complete a skills checklist
Updated skills checklists are an essential part of a candidate's submission packet. Historically, completing a skills checklist could take candidates up to 45 minutes or longer, leading to significant drop-off. To create a faster, more streamlined, and user-friendly experience, we've made several design improvements to increase completion rates.
Previously, it was hard for candidates to:
- Know what needs to be completed, save their changes, return later, or jump to specific uncompleted sections.
- Click the buttons easily, as they were small and easy to miss—sometimes without even realizing it.
To improve this, we've introduced collapsible subsections, automatic scrolling, larger button click areas, and a quick-view option for incomplete sections, making the checklist easier to navigate and complete.
We updated the experience on web first but expect a fast follow for an update on mobile!
License verification updates in profile
We’ve improved how often we validate a license, now running automatically every 30 days or for new applicants. As a reminder, we use two methods for validating a license:
- The first validation option is through Nursys. We do this when candidates provide their license number, the last four digits of their SSN, Date of birth, and Zip code.
- Our second option is with Clear. We do this as a backup when the candidate only gives us city, state, and zip code.
These completed verifications are accessible in PDF format within the Recruiter only documents of your chat for easy review before addition to submission packets.
